Sitting in the biz lounge at the HK airport right by my gate for my flight back to NYC. The security is insane now for any US bound flight. They have a separate secondary screening just to get into the gate area.

What's it all about Stinky?
Well, I've finally gone and done it. I've started a blog. After thinking and thinking about starting one, here it is. So what is this about? Nothing, everything and stuff in between. It's mostly what strikes me when I sit down in front of the keyboard. Whether it be fashion related, relationships, gaming, comic books, pop culture or just a rant, it will be on here.
To get things started, I should probably fill you in on who I am and what I do. I'm a 44 year old designer in the garment industry living in Brooklyn with my hubby of 10 years. We live with two cats, Luigi and Loki, and a Dachshund named Sebastian, also lovingly called Stinkenpoopin or Stinky for short.
Notice I said garment industry and not fashion. What I design really can't be called fashion since the product I design is sold at mass market retailers. Granted it's at the upper end of their price range but it's still mass market clothing. I guess that I should count my blessings that I still have a job in this economy, but I would still like to design proper fashion someday. The hubby is also a design director but for a higher end price point. He's a designer in the truest sense of the word. Not only is he extremely creative, but he has the technical knowledge to actually construct his designs. That's something a lot of the "hot young designer" crowd can't say.
That's it for now, short but at least it's a start.
Ciao.
